The challenge this week was for a CAS card with Snow.
Sitting here in the middle of summer this was an added challenge! Warm, sunny and what a lovely summer we are having. It is lovely with none of the heat we experienced last summer. Snow flakes were the last thing I would have thought about.
The background sky for this card was made using water colour paints on white card. I spritzed the card with water first and then used a paintbrush to smooch the water colour around. A dab here and there of purple and finally I let the card dry a bit before splattering around white paint which added some snowy looking blobs.
The Penny Black polar bears and snow flakes were die cut from some sparkly white card and glued to the background. The snowy scene was then framed with some more of the white sparkly card and purple card to match the highlights in the snowy scene. I finally added some glitter glue around the snowflakes and polar bears.
Hope you enjoy this snowy scene. Now its back to summer again.

Helen you and I must have been thinking of cooling down. I’ve just made a BG using alcohol inks. Your card is gorgeous. Love the colours you chose and the mama bear and her Cubs look so cute. It’s hot over here in the West. Keep safe and well. Hugs

It is snowing right now and I have to go out into it to go grocery shopping so I had to comment on this card! I love your description of summer juxtaposed against your frosty Arctic scene! Mamma bear has quite the handful with 3 little ones. Love the flurry of snowflakes!

Isn't it fun to make a snowy scene in the middle of summer sometimes? I have been enjoying escaping the cold with some beachy cards lately too. Love your fabulous background here!

We had a bunch of snow on Tuesday and I love how clean and crisp it looks outside. I won't love it so much in March. Always love me a blue ai background, the bears look perfect on it.
