Last week's alphabet challenge was the letter I for island. I always try to think of other ways to do this kind of thing, since I don't have a lot of tropical stuff or anything else that's island-ish. Since I have a love of comics and cartoons, I thought of all the deserted island comics I've seen. Went searching on Google, voila!
This is also for Kelly's VSN-sunny colors. We have a very sunny day in SE WI, albeit pretty darn cold. I can't say I mind that; when it's cloudy here, that probably means snow, like over the weekend. We got 2 inches of wet, heavy snow, now it's all crusty and icy. I blended the three DOx inks together, stenciled a sun in the upper left and stamped my palm tree stamp with markers and huffing on them.
Instead of a deserted island, this is a 'dessert-ed island.' I thought it was funny. Isn't it interesting how small the islands are in these comics? Do they just pop up out of the ocean?
