More details on my blog Kath's Blog-Everyday Life Of A Crafter
I trimmed Distress Watercolor card to 4.1/2" x 6.1/2" and added a die-cut circle mask. I smooshed Speckled Egg, Hickory Smoke and Black Soot Distress Oxide inks on to the craft mat of my Glass Media Mat, spritzed with water, laid the panel into the inks, dried and tapped back into the remaining droplets repeatedly, drying between layers. I removed the mask, spritzed the ink around the moon and let the colour run into the moon. I inked the music background from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Music and Advert with Fired Brick Distress Oxide, stamped randomly on the panel and heat set with Fired Brick Distress Embossing Glaze. I did the same with the branch from Mr Bones, stamped with Ground Espresso Distress Oxide, heat set with Walnut Stain and Vintage Photo Distress Embossing Glazes and the splatter image from Examination, inked with Distress Embossing ink and heat set with Ranger Superfine White Embossing Powder.
I coloured a scrap of Distress Watercolor card with Aged Mahogany, Fired Brick and Barn Door Distress inks using a mini round blending tool and die-cut using the Cardinal Thinlits.
I coloured the die-cut around his eye and the dot for his eye with Black Soot and Wild Honey Distress Markers, assembled and fixed his feet and lower body to the panel with Distress Collage Medium and the upper half with Sizzix Foam Adhesive to create dimension. I added Idea-ology Christmas Ephemera, Christmas Snippets and word strips from the Christmas Sticker Book.
I added splatters of Distress Tarnished Brass Mica Spray to the background and white gouache on the bird.
I added Distress Mica Flakes, matted the panel on to Simon Says Stamps Schoolhouse Red Cardstock and fixed to a 5" x 7" white card blank.
