Itâs Color Challenge time! Our host is LeAnn and the colors she chose are Balmy Blue, Highland Heather, and Gorgeous Grape. Ribbon and/or bow is the dessert option.
I used a stencil, turned diagonally, and a blending tool to create âribbons.â Dusty Concord and Shaded Lilac Distress Inks filled in for Balmy Blue and Highland Heather. The butterfly was stamped on vellum, colored in and die cut with a circle die. A slightly larger circle went behind it. An uplifting sentiment was the finishing touch.
I hope you enjoy my card and that you will be inspired to play along with us.

this is really pretty and I love your background stenciling - the butterfly looks great in the blue shade - we had some really pretty ones in our yard this summer

Very pretty! I luv stripes, but LUV them even more on a diagonal, like this. Probably says something about me - hope not something bad. I like the idea of the double circle background for your pretty butterfly.
