Layers of ink
This is the cover to my December Daily journal. I wanted to create a peaceful winter landscape and used dies to build up the landscape.
Coat the journal with gesso and when dry, paint the sky area with Distress Paint. When the paint is dry, stamp with a script stamp.
Die cut the snowscape and deer, coat with gesso and paint with Distress Paint. Glue the snowscape to the background and then add Texture Paste to the foreground, also along the spine and back. Press the deer into the paste. Let dry.
Add shading with paint and sparkle with Stickles. Die cut words and stamp sentiments.
