Since there's no MIX challenge posted yet and I'm fast running out of daylight hours, I've made my own mixed media creation. The Faux Patina piece was sitting in my "use this soon" box. And I still need a few Christmas cards so...
The sentiment was cut from matt gold card and layered on chipboard. For the angel - I had been saving the baby wipes from when I featured them as a TLC. I had created my own inkpads with them, and the orange and yellow one in particular was lovely and rich - so I cut the angel from that (after sticking it to thin card with a sheet of double-sided adhesive) and then was able to cut the inlay from another baby wipe. The wings were tricky - I tried gold and silver pen to add detail, but that didn't work. The baby wipe was too soft to hold dry embossing. So then I tried SN clear glitter pen, but it just got all absorbed. I tried embossing with Frosted Crystal Embossing Antiquities and that helped, but still not enough, so finally I buffed it with Craft-T luster rub-ons. There was a lot of blank space after I added the angel and the sentiment, so I thought some music notes would help to fill it up a little. I added a frame on the black card base with a gold metallic pen.

What a spectacular creation, Sabrina. I love when you try different techniques and they turn out beautifully...I always end up ruining whatever I am trying to rescue. Pure holiday magic.
