Those who have known me awhile are aware that even the suggestion of simple doodling puts me in panic mode so full blown Zentangle - well, lets just say I think my head exploded when I saw the "teaser" on Sunday.
Still I am trying to open my mind to possibilities so today I approached this much like I do the Wednesday watercolor challenges - trying to blank everything from my mind and let my subconscious guide my hand. I decided to start with the stamped Judikins face (it's just the eyes, nose & mouth) and zentangle in some wild & crazy "hair". I had planned to leave this entirely black & white but in the end those lips and eyes called to me for a bit of color added with prismacolor pencils.

So glad you gave wild abandon a chance! I related to you thoughts, Linda. You were right in coloring her lips and eyes. She is a beauty with ‘tangled locks’. Looks like some fun was had in letting go...

She is mesmerizing! I love the tangled hair, it adds to the mystery of your lovely mona lisa smiling woman. Thanks for giving it a try. Just like watercoloring- step-by-step instructions help learn the patterns to tangle. Check out tanglepatterns.com for simple strokes to make your next zen moment.

Well done, Linda! I know several of us are intimidated by this type of challenge but you really rocked it. Her red lips are perfect with the matting layer and decorative corners.

I love this. Linda. That was the perfect stamp to use. I hope you found it fun, because for me it is just like exploring different line patterns and designs that can all mingle together to make such interesting results and while in the process of it involving on the paper, I get such a peaceful feeling just creating and not really worrying about what it looks like, but playing and having fun in the process.

You made me laugh, Linda :0) And if we didn't know you we'd think you didn't struggle with this at all. That wild and crazy hair is so fun and perfect for that face. Great choice to add the pop of color!

You are rewarding all of us, yet again, with your just go for it, attitude, Linda. I have this image and she has never looked so good with your Boho styling. Sonja said the right word...mesmerizing!
