Sonja is our Tickle a Teapotter guest hostess this month - her challenge is HERE. I know people who love doodling and zentangling and do beautiful work, but for me, it's just not my thing. However, I decided not to be intimidated by the challenge but to make it the relaxing therapy Sonja intended. I did this by choosing a relatively small image, LOL. I have almost NO suitable flowers except for one very big one, but if I say so myself, I think my cat looks pretty cute all tangled up. To counter his rather grumpy or bemused expression, I've added some sunshine to the card. I used one of the options in my TLC739 Pick Your Corner challenge from April last year. So if you are the recipient of this card and you're not sure how to display it, you can check it out there ;-). I used some old SU papers, and the sunshine and sentiment are from WPlus9. The cat is from Gerda Steiner Design, All Cats. I used Spellbinders ovals and scalloped ovals for the easel, and a random flower from my desk for the easel stopper.

I'm so proud of you!!!!!!!!! And that cat is adorable! A fancy fold to boot! All Zentanglers start small, I think the size of some of their work is intimidating. And Rick and Maria, the founders of Zentangle, do such beautiful work and seem to do it effortlessly...but Maria was a calligrapher first, so that makes sense. And Rick was a monk. Now, Sabrina, you need to keep doing this, even in small ways. I find that if I don't Zen for a while, I kind of lose my touch.

This is fabulous Sabrina! I love that Zen kitty, even though she looks a bit grumpy! I'm sure if she takes time to Zentangle a bit, she'll by cheered up in no time! Love that fold too! Hugs

Yes, this kitty is fur-rific! The tangles give him just enough fluff to soften that grumpy façade. So glad you gave it a try. Like Janet said, practice helps.

You did a fabulous tangled transformation on that cat. And bravo you for powering ahead on a challenge that could have been more angst than zen. Interesting fold - I will have to check out the original challenge

I feel the exact same way about zentangling and doodling (probably why you couldn't recognize my card) and from the looks of it, this cat doesn't care much for being zentangled. LOL! I think he looks great and I love the way you showcased him in this fun fold!

So cute Sabrina and well done for giving it a go. I’ve never tried it and think I would be too messy lol. TFs. Happy day
