I am making this card for Bill who loves good books. When I was a little girl my father read to my brother and me every nigh at bedtime. But he never read us children books, he always read classics. Treasure Island was one of our favorites. I recently found the book he read to us in my brother's books.

What a wonderful adventure card for Bill. I love the skulls on the word...really cool. I agree with Jean...sounds like your dad was a treasure himself.

Great card and I love those skulls too. I am sure Bill will treasure this gem. And, I love that it brought back such lovely childhood memories. Reading with a parent is always a special time and it sounds like your time with your Dad was special indeed. TFS

What a wonderful childhood memory you have. What a great stamp you had to represent this classic book! Love the way you did the sentiment with the skulls. He will surely get a kick out of this!

How lovely that you found the original book. I still have some from my mother's and father's childhood and I treasure them. That is one great pirate ship and I really like that watercoloured background.
