A member of my family was born on Thanksgiving (the actual day the year he was born), so every couple of years we have a joint Thanksgiving/birthday celebration. I thought it'd be fun to create a joint occasion card. The turkey is clip art, colored with pencils. I used a piece of woodgrain paper to be a tabletop, and wow, it really looks like wood. The candles use the technique Lyn describe in this week's Technique Lovers Challenge.

HaHa - this is so cute. My mom's bday falls on Thanksgiving every few years too. She doesn't "like to share her birthday with a turkey" or I would totally need to create something like this! Thanks for taking my challenge your card is great!

This is fun! My dad's sister's family and my mom's niece's family are who usually comes for Thanksgiving and both of them have late November birthdays that take turns falling on Thanksgiving too. We stick a candle on their dessert plate and sing every year.
