Easy to do mixed media when one can pull out some stash. The stenciled piece on the flap is from Jen (Jennifrann), she stenciled melon mambo ink (thanks Jen!). The bottom piece is one my stenciled pieces, there is a bunch of glimmer on it, maybe some ai, maybe some sprays, no idea. I still don't remember to write on the back like Jen did.
The set that the sentiment is from is called Comfort Zone. Lovely sentiments and some cool modern looking leaf pieces. This is in honor of my Mom, who died four years ago on September 27. She had three cancers, including breast. I'm sure the cancers contributed to her death and to the progression of her Alzheimer's, but didn't cause her death. As I've said before, I prefer not to call it a 'battle.' One needs to learn to live with it, like my Mom, and make the best life possible. People on the front lines of healthcare, doctors who take the Hippocratic oath and nurses who take Florence Nightingale's oath, sure need some comfort now. My son in law is now working with Covid patients; he has only been a nurse for a little over a year. He is frustrated and anxious. Wisconsin is a total mess; wear a mask for others please.

Love this beautiful card! Love this great sentiment- and your outlook too- my Mom did not have cancer but had Dementia- and that was our outlook- live each day and she was rarely discouraged (except when they suggested she use a walker towards the end........).

I love how you put this together Jean. It’s a beautiful tribute to your Mum. Yes I wish the people of Wisconsin and countries where COVID is bad would wear their masks and help to stop the spread of this horrible virus. Keep safe and well. Hugs.

It sounds as if this was a piece of art therapy. Jen's piece and yours go together so well, and that sentiment made me stop and take time to think and reflect.
