Well this is my third try. I don't like this one either, but I got sick of trying. I don't like the muddy look, but it's good enough for a background for my little jungle band.

I know what you mean when something doesn't look on paper the way you want it to look; but, this bg works great with your adorable jungle band. Only you would have glittery instruments. LOL. Fun card.

The leaves pop and I think that's what they're supposed to do. I think what you may be seeing as mud to me looks like shadows deep into the jungle underbrush. Your wild and wooly band of musicians is adorable.

I actually LOVE how your background turned out. It has a bit of a shaving cream marbled look! I wasn't happy with mine either. I tried it 3 times and just gave up and used the last one. But I love the technique so I will certainly give it another try! Your leafy background is just right for those cute zoo animals!
