I didnâe(TM)t have a stencil suitable for this technique but I do have dies and chose this door/window one to make my own. I chose 4 colours and a neutral for the colour challenge. My sponging wasnâe(TM)t the best over the paper stencil and even my tiny Picket Fence brushes wouldnâe(TM)t get in all the nooks and crannies but I like the effect.
I opted for a large BG stamp and stamped on top of my sponging before removing my stencil. I was lazy and didnâe(TM)t use my Misti. Lesson learnt but again I like the effect.
Stamped my sentiment and added it to my door.
Cool technique. Give it a go. If you donâe(TM)t have a suitable stencil check your stash and make your own.

Fab custom stencil, Jayne. It's like a conservatory full of light and flowers. I usually find stippling rather than sponging works best with paper stencils, as it's all a downward motion.
