WT808 A Walk on the Wild Side
Added to Favorite

Photo Details
Poster: Cook22

Lisa is our hostess for the WTUI challenge this week, you can find it HERE.

I made this mostly because I wanted to try out a magazine set that hasn't yet seen ink. I know the boat is designed to use with it, but the fact that you can only see one oar and one rowlock bugged me. The background image was stamped on white card and coloured with chalk pastels, then sprayed with fixative. I added the sentiment and layered it behind a frame cut from wood-look paper. I wanted the boat in the centre partially over the frame, but DH wanted it where it is, and he's the one who's going to be sending it so that's what I did. He also wanted a bear, so the only semi-realistic one I have is from Happy Camper. I used some brown ink, might have been walnut stain, to stamp him on kraft, and then fussy-cut.

What a great scene. I think the one ore works just fine because the other is hidden behind that one. That is my story and I am sticking to it. LOL! That added bear is super adorable and I am sure DH loves the card too. Thank you so much for making a second card for the challenge.

The wood DP so suits the country concept.
I think it may be time for DH to start making more cards of his own! LOL. Backseat stamping! ((blowing whistle)) Foul!
