This card is for the Teapot Party and for Nancy's Pop who needs cheering up. I decided to send him some sunshine from Oz and say G'Day. These 2 farmers are wearing his favourite colours.
It is also for Mary's DTGD challenge.
I decided to create my scene using cling film...love this technique. I went over it lightly with a stencil afterwards and added glass bead glitter gel on my sun and from the rays into the paddock. The photo doesn't show it to its best..sorry. It's a beautiful day and these 2 Aussie farmers are chin wagging about the footy LOL. They missed the roo that went past them.
The fence and farmers was die cut and eoepopped upe on my card. Sentiment heat embossed and for some reason even after using my little dust thingy I still managed to make the embossing look a bit speckly but hey these Aussie farmers don't mind.
TFL. Happy day

So fun, Jayne. Great background and love your hounds-tooth fence and mini 'roo. Fun, fun, fun.
Pop laid and repaired many a fence. He was a farmer his whole life and also raised hogs. He actually raised hogs and grew their feed on the land I live on. There is a little creek that divides the property and the bridge he built across the creek a long time ago is still there and we still use it. Most the fences he built are still standing as well - the ones we built seem to fall.
Who wouldn't love to get something from Australia? This will thrill him! It will thrill him that it is from you too because I talk to him about you and all our mixed media adventures. He even acts like it is interesting to hear - that is how sweet he is.
Many hugz

The cling wrap technique is one of my favorites. Just used it recently. Great card for Nancy's dad and the houndstooth gives a bit of that football team he loves so much. He is sure to love this card.

I am gobsmacked by your creativity on this card for Pop, Jayne! Never thought to use the glitter gel like this. I cannot believe you made a fence and farmers out of that pattern. The little roo is super cute! Well done you!

WOW Jayne: I love this and all your creative details. Of course the houndstooth really popped for me and that little ‘roo.
I wrote a cute poem about cows and fences once.
Will have to share it with you sometime. Might be great for a journal page now you have broken the barrier with pattenered fences LOL. I an sure Pop will be tickled to get this beauty.

The houndstooth check gives your two stockmen sitting on the fence a great jockey look, to me - they could be still hanging around from last week's Derby. I like the texture you added in to your clingwrap background. I still need to try it that way of adding the colour to the wrap rather than the card - it obviously gives much more control.
