Chris is our hostess in the Color Challenge this week, and she has given us the lovely color palette of Mango Melody, Misty Moonlight and Granny Apple Green. The dessert option is to use white craft ink. I needed to substitute for the Misty Moonlight, so used Dapper Denim for my card.
I was excited to try out my new stamp set, Lovely You. It's a great set for quick and easy backgrounds--DIY DS paper! I made a 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" panel with the week's colors. Then I embossed a layer of Granny Apple Green with the Layered Leaves folder. I used a sponge dauber and white craft ink to lightly go over each raised leaf to give them a little definition. When both panels were done, I marked 2" down from the right side and 2" up from the left side, and cut through them with a craft knife. This gives me panels to make two cards!
I adhered the two partial panels to a base card of Dapper Denim, then added three strips in the challenge colors. The ends of the strips were punched with the Lovely Labels Pick A Punch. Stamped the greeting in white craft ink and added a couple of little hearts.
Thanks for stopping by, and please play along with us this week!

It looks like you've really gotten to know those stamps quickly, Barbara. Your pretty stamped background looks so effortless on this sweet card and the embossed section plays is up so nicely!

Barbara what a beautiful way to show off this set of stamps! I always like getting two cards when stamping for one! Lovely way to showcase this weeks colors and use the white craft ink with the embossing folder! TFS

Lovely, from the embossed leaves to the spray of leaves on the white bg, and to have the pieces left to make two more cards - that’s a win-win any time!
