Now that I work from home, I can try this technique. I had time to allow my layers to dry because I didn't have to drive to Rhode Island today. I decided to try to make a space background for my Lawn Fawn astronauts. It wasn't very successful, but I had fun anyway. I used three layers--a fluorescent red, an aqua (that accidentally had glitter in it), and purple. I thought it looked pretty good after the second layer, but the third layer covered it all up. Still it's pretty neat and it sparkles because of the accidental glitter in the second layer. I had fun coloring these cute astronauts and planets and arranging their little scene. The astronauts are on wobbles because I love wobbles.

Wobbles are great. A lot of people have said the third layer did them in...I wonder if stopping at two is the best idea. Who knows? Maybe it depends on if the moon is full or not or if you had ice cream yesterday. I love your space theme.

I need some wobbles!! Fabulous and fun card today. It's good to share your experience with the technique of the day. I appreciate knowing your color choices vs the end results. It seems that the 3rd layer is where things went sideways for everyone. I am on layer 2, so we will see how mine works out.

Ha, you had exactly the same problem I did, with the third layer almost obliterating the first. Seemed to me like a waste of all that drying time, but at least it's better than dripping ink on a coloured image - that is a true waste of time and effort. At least you ended up with a lovely background, perfect for your space theme.
