Well, if it hadn't been to support my fellow hostess, Jean, I would have given up on this. I looked at my upload from when it featured as a MIX challenge back in 2017, and apparently the card I uploaded then was the better of two attempts. I did worse this time round - this is the best of four and it looks nothing like it's meant to, but there's only so much good paper I'm prepared to use up. The first two layers worked fine with good reveal, but every single time, when I added a third colour, the first layer pretty much disappeared, and by the time I added the optional fourth layer, the first layer was invisible and there wasn't much of the second layer showing either. Can you believe that there was bright yellow and red on this? Me neither, but at least I knew the end result would look good with this dolphin die from Creative Expressions. I cut it from black, and then again from white to grab the inlay pieces for the dolphins (sponged with antique linen) and the fish (sponged with wild honey). I used yellow gems for the dolphins' eyes, and used a sentiment from SU.
Don't let my experiences put you off! If you want to try the TLC challenge, you can find it HERE. My experience was that for ANY dispersion by the alcohol, my paint needed to be mixed a LOT thinner than the 2 parts paint to 1 part water mentioned in the tutorial. And if I'd stopped after two layers, I'd have had a pretty cool looking piece of card. Maybe...maybe not, looking at the two red fails taped to my glass mat and waiting to be upcycled into something else ;-). They'll make lovely flowers.

I love this! I understand your frustration since you know the other colors were there. I experienced the same thing. HOWEVER (comma), your end result is perfect with the image you chose.

Sabrina, the end result is a very lovely card. I am making comments as I wait for my second layer to dry. Now I am anxious to see what happens with layer 3. I did take a photo of the second layer to remember how it looks thus far. Nothing ventured, nothing gained. I am being brave today.

Whatever it was supposed to be...it looks like a rainy day with the dolphins...cool. They cant stay down, they need to breathe....I always wonder what happens with them and whales during a heavy storm....
