This card is for the Teapot Party where we had to make a silly card with animals and for added bonus points include a flower and purple.
It is also for the Alpha challenge. S = silly, stacked, spackle, stencil, smile...who can resist those grins...and inside the sentiment says âeoesending you a smile to lift your dayâe ....double whammy s's.
This card also took me 3 hours to make..yep..ask one of the alpha ladies who witnessed this lol.
After stamping my meerkats and cats I started to colour them with my copics. I put a border around them and some grass...yep there's some green layers underneath that golden shine....I opted to leave that and start on the sky. Stuffed that up when Ann, our Alpha legend and leader gave me a tip on how to create clouds using a border die like a stencil.
Coloured around those and then back to the ground..oops sand. It has 4 different colours on it but wasn't grabbing me so out came the watercolour paints. Much better and oh so shiny. You wouldn't believe how many layers are on this card.
Back to the sky...watercolour paints added there too and whipped spackle..those clouds have texture. Yummy. It is at this point I realise I had forgotten purple. No probs..another tip from Ann and purple paint added onto my sky.
That is when I remembered my purple sparkley alcohol ink I had bought recently. Dropped some dots of that onto texture paste and put that through a dotty stencil. After all this card had to be silly and to make the recipient smile.
Did I finish there...nope. Out came the sparkly medium and I'm scraping it on the cats and meerkats.
Flower sticker added and liquid pearl ball near the cat..now that is another story,
I had fun and I hope the recipient will know what blood, sweat and love went into making this lol.
TFL. Happy day

Oh my goodness, Jayne, this is hilarious! I love those smiling meerkats, especially the one with the pretty bloom hanging out of his mouth! That tickled my funnybone right there!

You are creative and so fun. I would never have thought to add the top cat with the gorgeous bloom that he has in his mouth. Wonderful shine on all of this too!

Your stack of Meercats turned out so wonderful! Seeing it last night is just not the same as the enlarged version here. It also kept us entertained watching and listening to you make it! So - Bonus!
The shimmery paints really bring that BG right up around the cats! Fantastic! So much to go through the process with you!
