I've tried on glossy photo paper with epson salt and kitchen salt, everything worked perfect untill I decided to heat emboss the image, that made crack my background, but I must admit it gives a fun look, I don't know if you can see the cracks...
I've stamped the sentiment which means: The road is easier together and love is eternal

Love your card and your sentiment, Anita. I do think I see one of those cracks you mentioned and it is just to the left of her head and at her feet. I love seeing how everyone did these cards and which papers and salts used.

I wouldn't have seen the cracks if you had not mentioned it but I gave it a close look and the cracks give it a wonderful aged look! This is such a beautiful image. Wonderful colors and sentiment.

Your card looks great and the cracks are certainly not visible to my eyes. Love the simple treatment of the couple that let's your bg become one with them.

Beautiful panel for your strolling couple. I am finally playing with this and the panel is very touchy so I was afraid to even try to emboss. It's hard enough to get ink to dry. Anyway, you have a very nice final product.

GREAT IDEAS on the different salts! A BEAUTIFUL CARD & LOVELY SENTIMENT!!! ;) (Maybe, it cracked because the salt has dried it out already & the heat was too much on top of that???) A SUPER JOB!!! ;)<3
