I misunderstood, I think. Mine wasn't coming out black like everyone else's. This is what I was doing. I put the stencil on a piece of CS, sponged black, then I turned it upside down on my blended bg and brayered it. Of course it was very light. Anyway, twice I did this , so I have some really black stencil on some colored cs. But here is mine on the blended cs, and it is reverse. LOL I used colors of cs that was leftover from color challenges last week.
It looked kind of steam punk I think so stamped and die cut and sponged with some of the same oxides I made the bg with Tim Holtz stamps and dies. I needed a masculine card for my BIL.
Thanks for looking.

Dotto what Linda said! When I first saw this I thought it was a very cool idea to have the stencil lines show up so light, makes a really great effect for these images. Whatever you intended no longer matters, because what you got is a really fun card that is great for your BIL.

Misunderstandings often produce great art - your card is a case in point. It has a really cool retro faded look that works beautifully with your images.

I was thinking that this was what was meant by reverse stencil. I had to go back and look at the steps again because I had seen a couple of the cards before I did mine and they were dark. But like everyone else, I love your card and the lighter lines just give it that much more texture and interest! The steam Punk images were perfect!
