The teapotters are sending cards to Anita's Mum who is turning 80 on July 19th. So that means my card will be fashionably late. They cannot be together because of Covid as originally planned, so we are showering her mom with cards. We are supposed to represent some type of nylon on our card. I am sure this lady was wearing nylons when she posed to be made into a stamp, lol. The tulle ribbon hanky is probably polyester but I'll never tell.
I sponged the edges with abandoned coral, then ran the gold dauber stick around the edges and on her flowy back part of her dress and then daubed it around her feet. I used lots of thick foam dimensionals on the back. You should see how many ribbons etc. I pulled out to bring this card about but nothing was clicking. Finally settled on the crochet trim. Gold sharpie for bracelets and more copic R22. Trashed my first attempt, but it was fun as I proceeded. I am happy with it and I hope it brings a surprise smile to Annie!

Oh my gosh, what a beauty Shirl. I loved reading your description, it sounds like you had a lovely time making this for Annie. The tulle hanky is the icing on the cake, then I scroll back and think hmmm that pleated lace is gorgeous, and the sweet buttons, the paper. OK I can't decide - all of it is soooo lovely.

Fabulous and I love all the bracelets on her arm. She is definitely "high fashion". Don't know what the other ribbons looked like, but the crochet trim works great, especially with those adorable buttons. And, that "nylon" hankie is the topper. Super fun card for Annie.

This is beautiful Shirl. I love your 20s girl with her hankie...I think if I could choose an era to live in it would have been the 20s. I love all the additional elements..the crochet lace, the buttons, her bracelets...it’s just fab. TFS. Happy day and keep well. Hugs

What a gorgeous card...color shading is excellent, papers used and the inking is spot on. What a fantastic card! The hankie and lace trim takes it to the next level!
