I made this card for this week's Alphabet challenge. Ann is our hostess and she has chosen the letter N for this week. The N in this card is for the Navy cardstock and Navy hues in the alcohol ink pieces.
I first created a background using alcohol inks and silver glitter Yupo cardstock, then set this aside to dry. Die cut the gold hexagon frame using Gold Glitter cardstock. Temporarily adhered the gold frame to the navy card base, then took one of the flower images from the pop-out Hexagons stamp and centered that in the middle hexagon frame. Removed the gold frame, and stamped the flower image using versamark ink and heat embossed with gold embossing powder. Colored the flowers with a while colored pencil. Then went over the white with light blue and darker blue colored pencils.
Glued the gold hexagon frame to the navy card base. Die cut the alcohol inked background with the simply hexagons die. Popped out the pieces I wanted to use and glued them into place. Die cut the birthday sentiment from gold glitter cardstock and adhered into place.
Thank you Ann for this week's challenge and thanks for looking today! ~Karen.
