My DD1 lived in China for 3 years and taught High School to kids who wanted to study in English speaking countries in college, The first time I went to an actual 'TEA House" was with DD1 and on a visit to Hong Kong. By the way, I drink lots of tea (black tea for me)! I am drawn to Asian images and love to color. This 'mountain' is what true 'limestone karst' looks like and you will see this in areas of China- it is really beautiful IRL!!!

Beautifully coloured. We have also been to some tea houses...in Japan and also China. I was fascinated by the ritual of making the tea. What a fantastic experience for your DD. TFS. Happy day

That stamp is a great image of a tea ceremony. I was introduced to Japanese style green tea ceremony by a foreign exchange student who came to our area when I was in high school. She showed us how they whisk the tea and serve with great formality. Great challenge, Shelly.

This is beautiful Shelly! Your coloring is lovely and the mountain is a perfect backdrop. How fun to have visited Hong Kong and been to an actual tea ceremony. I love tea, too. Thanks for the challenge!

I went to a class for learning the ritual of Tea making when I lived in Japan - it's quite an involved art form. Great image of the old days and the old ways.

The limestone looks pretty beautiful as you are showing it to us, and so does your oriental lady. The red lace is a fab detail. It must have been a great experience for your daughter working over there - and for you to visit her.
