I admit that on a few occasions I've had dessert before the main course. For this week's color challenge, it was the dessert (scallops or waves), that first inspired me for this week's challenge. I went with waves.
For this card, I began by stamping the background stamp using VersaMark ink. The ink was then heat embossed with white embossing powder. I colored between the waves using copic markers in colors that are very similar to the challenge colors. The heart was die cut three times and stacked onto a larger heart cut from vellum. A simple sentiment strip was adhered to the heart.
It was my honor and pleasure to be your Color Challenge Guest Designer for the month of June. It's wonderful to be a part of this creative community of stampers.
I can't wait to see your beautiful cards in the gallery!

I LOVE the way you added the waves to your lovely card ... and how you "had dessert first"! Thank you so much for adding such delight to the design team this month.

Marianne, you certainly nailed this week's colors and dessert option with this pretty card! I love the heart mounted on the vellum with it's strip greeting. Thanks for designing with us this month. Your cards have been beautiful!
