Fellow tea bag lover, Teresa aka aztk, and I are at it again with our tea bags. This time we decided to make tea bag journals. I can't wait to go check out hers!
I started mine with 4 gallon sized teabags. I swiped ink on some aluminum foil, wet my empty tea bags, and smashed them in the ink. I let them dry and then I cut them down so that I had pockets on the top and could fold them over to make the book. I stapled them inside - next time I will sew them. I then put a strip of paper (next time I will use fabric) with some glue. Then I started stamping the tea bags to make various different pages (next time I will stamp before putting the pages together). Some pages have birds, some have butterflies and some have flowers - all from the old retired Natural Beauty set. I did venture out and use a few other sets on some of the pages as well (next time I will use three bags instead of 4).
Some of the pages are birthday pages since this is going to a friend who recently had a birthday. I put pictures of her and her daughters inside the pockets. She is super creative and will love this.
I plan to make another of these soon - it was so fun!
Thanks for looking!!!
Teresa - thanks for inspiring me to see tea bags in a totally different way!!! Hugz
