I will freely admit that I don't really have the hang of this but at least wanted to try . . . . I stamped my ornaments on watercolor paper starting with the oblong one, masked and stamped the pointy oval, masked again and finished with the round ornament that would (hopefully) look like it was in the bg. I applied ink from the dye pads to a large acrylic block, then section by section wet each area with clear water, picked up some dye ink and tapped into the wet spot letting it float where it wanted. I didn't really think this through so my red holly berries got lost in the color from my ornament so added a bit of ruby stickles to them for definition.

Your ornaments are beautiful. Love the colors you chose. The grounding of the ornaments is terrific. Everything has a learning curve, with watercoloring it's letting the water do the work. Your shading is wonderful. You did a fantastic job. Glad you joined the challenge this week. Enjoyed seeing your card in the gallery.

You did a good job with the watercolor and your red ornament was placed perfectly in the back. Very pretty card, indeed.
