I made this Bible journal page in my newly made Bible Junk Art Journal. I made the base out of 1 inch squares. I glued them down to a piece of cardstock. I ran it through my cuttlebug. It was hard to see the embossing so I went over the top with black ink. OOPS As soon as I did it I thought "OH NO I ruined it!" But as I have been saying for years, "If I don't like it, it just means it isn't done yet." So I kept on going. I added some inka gold, (which I hadn't used for so long that it had mold growing on it. I almost didn't use it, but decided to just wipe the mold out with a paper towel and press on.) I watercolored some cardstock and cut the panels out and added the scripture and the butterfly. Once the butterfly and scripture were added, I went over the whole surface with Aleene's tacky glue. I spread a thin layer over the whole page. When it dried it felt like leather and has such a cool look that my camera can't capture. With the focal point of the butterfly, I didn't notice the black ink as much and I have to say, I actually love how this page turned out. I just had to finish. Come check out my blog.

Laughing about the Inca Gold, I must have dipped my finger into it and I too have mold, plus it's kind of dry. Still use it, just clean it up first. I like your philosophy.

The inchies make a fantastic background, MariLynn. It's like Moroccan tiles or something. I'm glad you kept going, because I think the black and then treated highlighting gives a fantastic vintage look.
