This page is for Sharon's May Technique challenge. The challenge was to use watercolour on our page.
I started this yesterday and finally finished it today whilst chatting with a friend on FaceTime...we were both crafting at the time.
After spreading gesso on part of the CS I started to create a light blue cloudy sky....using our poppets' cloud stencil which is actually a speech bubble LOL, so I flicked my paintbrush around a bit to make it look a little more realistic and used 3 colours on the sky.
Photos added and it was at this moment I was thinking what next. I already had my papers out and after adding the Daily Cruise Ship Newsletter bit I decided to just add some papers in the blank spots and without detracting from my cloud.
Washi tape added, stickers, wooden embellishment and bling and done. It came together fairly quickly and I'm very pleased with it as I would never think to watercolour on a page.
TFL. Happy day

Jayne, your sky is so realistic and matches that in your photos. What a great idea to use the speech bubbly for a stencil. The colors you use were perfect. Great layout. Thank you for playing my May Technique Challenge!
