I just got excused from Jury Duty, as they called me back too soon, so I made this for the clerk who helped me, hence the sentiment. I loved Featured Stamper Linda AKA 71st Street cute owl image: CT0815 Dancing Owl, and went for the cutest owl I had. I colored it with Chameleon Color Tone Alcohol Markers, cut it out, attached the wings and added Glossy accents for extra shiny eyes. The BG is one of many that were made by stamping through a highly pigmented, and quite saturated, absorbent paper tablecloth panel. I laid the wet cloth over the photo paper and then stamped. I made about 20 different prints with the same makeshift "ink pad". Next time I'll try coffee filters or thick paper towels for more strength. I wonder how often a jury clerk gets a thank you card.

Such a cute owl - those eyes are sooo big. Great bg. Super cool idea to give the clerk a card! Hugz

Thank you so much for casing my card. Oh my goodness this card is filled with creativity, cuteness, color and thoughtfulness. I love how you made the background. I'll bet you have lots of fun when you create. And no I don't think many jury clerks get thank you cards LOL!

How cute this is, Lori! Ahhhh..jury duty. When we lived in Houston, I got called every 6 months. First city, then county, then some other judge's district. There was always criminal, civil, etc. I kept wondering why it seemed like I was on everybody's list!
p.s. not all birds tell the truth! One of my parrots was a known liar.
