I made this card for two challenges. The first challenge is the CAS challenge. Lisa is our hostess and she chose heat embossing- yay! The whole reason I got into stamping is because of the "magic of embossing." I was so taken with heat embossing, and to be honest, I still am enamored with it. Lisa, I got carried away with this card so if it does not meet the CAS requirements, please feel free to let me know.
The 2nd challenge is for the Letter D Alphabet challenge. Ann is our hostess and she has chosen the letter D for this week. The D's in this card are for the detailed die cuts and the Divine Eloquence die used.
The tree is die cut from white cardstock and heat embossed 4 times using versamark ink and copper embossing power. This gives the tree some wonderful dimension that I really love. I die cut the divine eloquence die using Coastal Cabana cardstock. Then stamped this die cut using the StampinUp Stitched background stamp and coastal cabana ink for a tone-on-tone look. Glued the tree in place on this die cut. I heat embossed the sentiment using copper glitter embossing powder. I did not realize I used copper glitter embossing powder until I took this picture because I thought I used the same embossing powder as the tree.
Die cut a rectangle die using coastal cabana cardstock to fit behind the detailed die. Ran the front of the card base through the stampinup pinewood planks embossing folder for a woodgrain look and for some added texture.
Thank you Lisa for the wonderful heat embossing challenge and thank you Ann for the fun Letter D Alphabet challenge. I so enjoyed making this card, and thank you for looking today. ~Karen.

This card is a stunner, Karen. As Catherine as already commented, that copper tree really is magical and all the layers of ep really make it stand out. The ef and dies just add those extra special touches that really make this card stand out. It's a beauty.

Karen, that's one of my very favorite ef's....Adds so much to a card without any extra effort. That tree is gorgeous in the layers of copper ep!! Such a lovely bg for the saying in copper too, and the planks supporting the card are fabulous. Right into my favorites, Karen!!!
