This card is for the last of the VSN challenges hosted by Lee and while I still have a lot of challenges to go in VSN I will get there or very close.
I finished this card last night in super quick time as it is quite a simple design.
I found this Penny Black stamp when searching for a suitable wild flower stamp for the challenge and on a whim decided to go with this one.
I bought this stamp in 2003 and is one of my very early purchases but have never used it or at least I don't think I have lol.
I decided to follow the image colouring on the wood block as a guide and so stamped the image onto watercolour paper with StazOn solvent ink but th image was very faint so I went over this with a 0.3 Copic Multi Liner.
I gave the image a light yellow wash here and there then with some grey added shadows to give it depth, last I coloured the flowers.
The colour combination is one of my favourites, I also like yellow and blue.
I heat embossed the greeting and if you look closely the white dots on the DP are actually little hearts.
I put ti all together with double sided tape ad that's it folks....thanks for looking.
Cheers Marg
