When I saw the challenge I knew I had stamps but I wanted quick. I should have stuck with my first option lol. I managed to get this done within the time but sticking it together and waiting for it to dry was tricky. I think itâs still wet and itâs also only just coming light...daylight that is so the photo isnât the best.
I decided to use a large die I have and I think only tried once. I have a lot of panels I made last year for various challenges and never used so I got out one of my brightest. First mistake. The paper was too thin and after cutting the die it all tore. Doh, doh!
Not to be defeated during these hard times, I found another panel that I had used a stencil on and sponged. I loved the bright flowers and thought perfect for Mistiâs challenge so Iâm cutting the die again. The paper is thicker so it held and then I remembered that all the bits would come out so I get my double sided sticky tape and start adding that to the back. Some of you may remember this as you thought it was a very large loo roll in my craft room...ok no mention of TP right now with shortages happening.
I run it back through and when I come to try and take it off and peel the backing itâs coming apart, so I stick it back down and thank goodness for my TH pokey thingy. Iâm poking and pushing and after what seemed a very long time, it popped out with only one piece left in the die. Phew. Pop that in and Iâm liking it.
I did make something else for the stem but it was way too big for my CS so that will save for another project. Itâs at this stage that I noticed some things were falling out so out comes my clear gesso and Iâm pasting that on top. Why gesso...because I couldnât get the top of my gel medium and gesso acts as a glue too. Another phew. It held.
Whilst itâs drying I die cut my sentiment, using 3 layers. Add wink of stella and add it all to the cs.
Iâm trying to use up my sequins, plus I love them on cards. Thanks Jennifer Mcguire and her videos for that tip. I wanted to add a few so Iâm thinking they look like some flower petals at the bottom...come on ladies, itâs hard times we are going through and I need creative licence here lol.
Sequins added and done. This should have been easier but Iâm happy with it.
TFL. Keep safe and well.

What a fun piece of art, Jayne! Love it! I love sequins too. One of my cards has them so far. I just had to sneak a peek at one of your cards...now I must get back to creating! Hugs
