This week has pretty much been work, cook, bed - but today I finally have a day off and time to make something for Jean's fun Tunnel Card TLC challenge. I'd love to try the diorama version over the weekend, but this original one is the one I've wanted to revisit for quite some time now, so that's what I went with. First time with real leisure time for making a card for two weeks, so it was hard to know where to start! I decided to make a sea scene - so inside the tunnel is the full stamped image. Stamped in black, embossed in clear. I added Stickles to the jellyfish and wings, and left it to dry while I did some shopping. Coloured the sea with DOX inks and some pine needles distress on the seaweedy fronds. I used pencil and then distress inks on the seahorses, both inside and out. The little one was lying on my desk, I think it's a Memory Box die. I stamped the seaweed in mermaid lagoon, and the bubbles in silver. and added a few seuqins.
For the front panel, I die-cut the seahorse from my second stamping of the main image, and coloured in a similar fashion, except this time the wings were coloured and then had clear stickles over. Inside, they're green Stickles....I cut and embossed a panel, stamped the sentiment, punched it with the word window punch and popped it on. The wings are popped up slightly with foam, and I added a few more sequins to match the inside.

I always love to see a sea or under water scene through an aperture, this gives the real dimension to this kind of cards, great image and so pretty colored, love the front side with the pretty texture and sequins

I always enjoy a browse around your gallery... you are amazingly inventive, creative. THIS particular card just WOW's my socks off. it must be so twinkly and lovely in person, with light bouncing off of it. stay well and thx for comments on my butterfly card. it even has a boo boo at the top, which seemed tiny at the time, but worse now that I see it the size of my laptop. haha won't post a boo boo every again! : )
