Today's featured stamper is Maura Hibbitts. Congratulations, Maura, you have a beautiful gallery. I was drawn to your mixed media cards and selected this one as me inspiration: Under the Sea by onecraftystamper at Splitcoaststampers
I kept the mixed media looking background, though created in a different way than Maura's panel.
This card is also for last Friday's mix challenge. I have ink, acrylic paint, metallic pen, gold embossing powder all involved on this card.
My LEAP items are: leaves & layers, embossing, anniversary, print (gelli print) and paint.
I created the background panel using a number of layers of paint and stencils until I was happy with the panel. I then added stamping and doodling to add more texture. My youngest daughter called it Organized Chaos therefore the title of the card.
The leaves were used as stencils on the printing so their color came from that. I heat embossed this gorgeous bloom and watercolored it with both Flirty Flamingo and Poppy Parade. I popped up the flower and added the leaves behind it. I heat embossed the sentiment and popped one end of it up as well.
This was a fun card to make. Congratulations, Maura, enjoy your week.
Happy anniversary, Lydia!
Thanks for looking!

Wow Catherine this is a beautiful mixed media card, I love all the texture and pretty big bloom, about my slider if you look well you see the little ribbon at the bottom of the card, it's when you pull it you change your image it's a bit tricky to make these cards but fun to do

Catherine, this card is absolutely stunning my friend! Your mixed media background is positively delicious with all of it's vibrant colors and textures. And wow, does this gorgeously embossed and watercolored bloom ever pop off this card. I dream of doing mixed media so this is truly magical for me. I love how you were inspired by Maura's lovely card to make this beauty! ~Karen.

I'm with Karen; before I read her comment I was thinking how wonderfully that embossed beauty of a flower pops off the background! No mean feat since your background is such strong and gorgeous statement on its own! Lovely card!
