I have a dear friend who is an avid button collector and belongs to the Oregon State Button Society. She gave me 3 of these crocheted buttons, in different color combos, that she picked up at their last convention last spring. I think I'll attend it with her this year as she has a blast and is always blown away at the vast array of offerings. I think I'll invite myself through this card! I simply stamped and embossed the image and sentiments and then tried coloring with a Kid's set of Blendy pens, hoping they would go over the yellow. It worked pretty well, but the paper started pilling up here and there. I added a little alcohol markers to blend it better and I can live with it, because it's really all about the button. The colors turned out better than this scan. This was quick and fun!

That's a fun button and your stamp goes with it perfectly! I like your idea of using it to ask if you could accompany your friend to the convention. I bet she'll be delighted with the card and the company!

Oh wow, that is fantastic. Definitely go to that convention - I certainly would. I really like this idea. I've embroidered in the centre of a button with bullion knots, but unless you have a big button, it's a tiny canvas. I like the way this extends the textile part beyond the button. I like the colours, too. That was the first pairing I thought of web I looked at Dina's colour wheel this morning.
