Free 4 All Challenge hosted by Dawn: pocket size Valentine or ATC
Color Challenge hosted by Karen: Rose Colored Cherries with Vanilla Ice Cream with dessert option to have a heart
I went through my vanilla scraps and found this pre-stamped rose. I had stamped up a bunch for a big project and have slowly been using up the left-overs. This might be the last one.
Since it was stamped on Very Vanilla that cannot take very much water; I used a blender pen to color. I scribbled with the appropriate markers on an acrylic block and picked up the ink from it. The rose is colored in both Cherry & Rococo, the twinkles around the rose are Cherry, the ribbon is mostly Rococo and I used the neutral Mossy Meadow on the leaves & stems.
After I colored the image, I realized the piece was almost the size of an ATC so I combined with it Dawns challenge for a pocket size Valentine. Wink of Stella on the roses, leaves & ribbon make it pretty sparkly when it catches the light. Finished with a sentiment, diecut & embossed heart and a soft bow.
The ATC cards are so cute; one could be added to a card base, put inside a hand-stamped card before mailing, slipped into a gift or pocket, the ideas are endless.
Thanks Dawn for the inspiration! Thanks Karen for the beautiful colors to work with! TFL

Your sweet rose is a fabulous watercolor that you've achieved even on non-watercolor paper! Love the sparkles and sheen you've added...so eye-catching! Love the stitched rectangle...great texture added with your soft fiber bow!
A SWEET, feminine little Valentine card!
