Julie is asking us to add something inspiring to our cards this week for the CAS Challenge. Thank you Julie for the inspiration!
Today is Martin Luther King Jr day so last night I spent a couple of hours reading some of his sermons and notes. What struck me the most from my readings is that the most important and inspiring thing I can do is to LOVE. Interestingly the message on Sunday morning was also to love ourselves and love others and if we do that we will be doing right. So naturally my inspiring word today is LOVE. Easy to say but not always easy to do!
Nothing says love like a warm and comforting quilt so I created a quilt from the new IO nine-patch die. Lastly, I added the word love! Clean and Simple!
Thanks for looking!
I included my favorite quote on this blog post.

And I LOVE this card. What a beauty, Angie! My kids asked me last night who MLK was. And I explained to them that he helped people see that we shouldn't judge or separate each other based on this color of our skin. I explained to them that 60 years ago black and white people had to use separate bathrooms and couldn't eat lunch together. They asked well where did the brown people go? And what if someone had different color hair? It was such a foreign concept to them. And we all agreed that it was just plain silly to judge people based on what they look like. I love seeing the world through my kids' eyes.
