I made this fun card for Lisa's Ways To Use It challenge. We are making Shaker cards today. This isn't always the easiest style for me.
True to form, I had a heck of a time getting my microbeads and sequins to not stick to the dimensional adhesive. How do people manage that? Baby powder on the inside???
Thanks for looking!

Great idea!! I love this pretty jar, a hint, don't use foam to make your shaker but layer several die cuts and glue them together so you don't need to use dimensional adhesive

Brilliant idea to use a canning jar and vellum for your shaker, Toni. The flower sequins make perfect shakers. I have the same problem with the sticking sometimes.

I love the flowers in the jar Toni. I have had trouble with my shaker bits getting caught too. Then I watched some of the Jennifer McGuire shaker videos and she actually likes them sticking and sticks some in her cards on purpose so now it does not bother me. LOL! But seriously the flowers in this jar on your card is super clever. Thank you so much for this amazing sample.

I don't know how to not make them stick to the sides of the tape either. Maybe that's why I have not made many shakers. YOur jar is such a good idea, and a wonderful thank you card.

Yes, I think baby powder works well, and I think also the type of tape, some are stickier on the sides than others. The only sure-fire way I know, though, is to use silicone glue to create the shaker frame, but that takes ages in setting time. I think your little jar of flowers looks sweet. I like the softness the vellum adds.

Love the old fashioned canning jar - complete with zinc lid. I remember how my mom cherished those - especially for canning dill pickles! This is perfectly sweet with the variety of size & shapes in the jar and love the weathered wood dp in the bg.

Pretty card with a very soft look to your shaker using vellum for your opening. I, too have trouble with sequins sticking to the inside of my shaker opening. It happens with foam tape and even when i tried cutting multiple paper layers to add debth. I have used corn starch on the inside but so far no luck?
