This will be the LAST Christmas card I need to make this year (I hope!) I used These decorative accents as my inspiration.
Die cut my pine bough & cones sponging bits of color to highlight, then dragged white nuvo drops over all the pieces and sprinkled with crystal glitter for a snowy effect. I stamped the sentiment in scarlet onto my die cut postage stamp and embossed with clear powder, then arranged my pine bough & cones to partially frame the sentiment. I wanted to tie the whole thing together with a big red bow but since this card will travel to Europe I needed to keep it as FLAT as possible to avoid "penalty postage" on top of already high rates.
I don't own any BOW die cuts so what to do . . . looked through my dies to find my Spooky Witch Set - YES WITCH - Die cut the 2 BATS in scarlet, sponged the edges then glued together to make a scalloped edged bow. (it's the illusion that counts - right) Finished with a red gumdrop so I would have a trio of red to go with my trio of pine cones.
Now off to the post office before it closes today!

Oh my stars, I was just thinking what a pretty bow you had. I would not have known it was bat wings if you had not said. Your card is beautiful with the pine and cones.
