Fun sketch today! I'm totally hooked on making Christmas cardsâe"it's that time of year. I have no idea how many Christmas cards I even need, but they are fun to make. And when I saw this sketch, I saw an opportunity to put these gingerbread men on a cookie sheet. However, I don't have an silver cardstock. So I made the cookie sheet by gluing aluminum foil to white and die cutting the rectangle shape. It was very difficult to photograph. The gingerbread men were printed on kraft and were fun to color with markers, colored pencils, and white Signa pen. I created the strip behind them by stamping the candies randomly in red DOX ink and then drawing in an outline and faux stitching around the edges using black gel pen. I stamped the sentiment using Versafine Clair onto glitter paper, I wasn't sure it was going to work, but it dried quickly and looks great.

My jaw is hitting the floor at your creativity - aluminum foil so your gingerbread people are on a cookie sheet - I LOVE it!! I also love the peppermint candy strip.
I hear you on the Christmas cards - I just keep making them without regard for how many I actually need. It's just too fun!
