Tradition is important to me and the Christmas one I most enjoy is the hanging of the 14 identical red and white pillow ticking stockings on the stair railing in our living/family room. I began making these when our two daughters married and provided spouses and children-all coming home for Christmas---At peak numbers we had 16 of them hanging but loss of two has us hanging 14 at this Christmas again.....still not giving up as one child is unmarried and one grandson is old enough to marry if he chooses--so there may still be stockings to make in my future.

I love your tradition! Those striped stockings are so festive! The greenery and the red enamel dots are perfect. I like how you're not giving up on adding more to your stocking stairway
