Introducing Catabella, she's a little bit snarky and what a fashionista. Catabella likes to play in everything and who am I to argue.
Catabella is in the Technique challenge for this week found here TLC759 ~ Coloring Mediums ~ {9/9/19} by StampingQueenJAR at Splitcoaststampers and to be honest I found this a hard one because I love colouring and have used just about all the mediums at one time or another. I'm the exact opposite to Judy, I adore my Copic and would sleep with them if DH let me, but I started off with pencils and crayons before I progressed to Copic, for a long time I shied away from watercolour because I found it fairly daunting but I love it now and use it more and more so that is what I have gone with and Catabella thinks she is pretty spectacular.
Finally, and what this is all about is the Teapot Tuesday challenge found here MMTPT581~Sept 10, 2019~B-I-N-G-O by Jennifrann at Splitcoaststampers where Catabella is hoping she will bring a smile to the life of a dear friend of our very own Jacqueline, Susie. Susie is going through some tough times at present, so we are going to send her some cards to brighten both her and her husband's day.
Jen aka Jennifrann gave us a bingo challenge for this week to make our cards and I chose the middle horizontal line. Cats Plaid and Embossing. Catabella believes Jen created this line just for her. That goes without saying but Catabella doesn't like sharing the limelight, so the plaid is one of the little hearts creating part of the border. The embossing is heat embossing on the words the three little hearts and the even smaller white hearts on the front border and also inside the card creating another border.
How did Catabella come about, well I stamped the image twice once on watercolour paper with Stazon Saddle Brown and once on blending paper with Versa Mark Watermark then heat embossed with Super Fine Black embossing powder. I coloured both Catabella and the hearts accordingly using SU inks and an aqua brush fine tip, then I fussy cut all the images out. I then stencilled the brick pattern onto some blending card. I stamped the SU Sprinkles hearts images with Versa Mark twisting the stamp 90% each time I moved along the card stock approximately four times which created the borders. I stamped the words then glued Catabella in the appropriate place. Once this was done, I attached the border added the ribbon and attached the hearts with some SU dimentionals. I then put the whole lot together added the inside panel and finally added Catabella"s pearls. Catabella believes you are not dressed until you are wearing pearls.
Hope you enjoyed Catabella's journey as much as I enjoyed creating her and leading you up the garden path and I hope this little card brings a smile to Susie and her husband.
Thank's so much for looking hugs Marg

I have to agree with you, watercolor is my most challenges coloring media as well. It is my favorite that I admire from others, but I myself have not achieved that level of perfection that I so admire. Your card is great and I love that cat.

I think you did well on this with the watercoloring. Catabella does seem like she has some "cat-titude"...I'm sure Susie will get a kick out of this card. Great job on all the challenges.
