Susie is our hostess for the Teapot Tuesday challenge this week - you can read all about it HERE.
In real life I love umbrellas - one of my favourite shops to visit in Paris is an umbrella shop on the Boulevard St Michel, and I have several umbrellas from there. Equally, I have several umbrella images - this is the one I wanted to use for Julie. I stamped her onto white card and pieced everything together with some old Provocraft paper. The umbrella was stamped with Versamark onto some pink BG paper and embossed with clear EP, and is shaped with a little foam tape.
I stencilled in the grass with a mask from a die-cut border. Then I started on the rain, and I'm so tired that I managed to slip my palette knife under the stencil and had a big silver smudge. No way I had time to start the paper piecing all over again, so I spread the texture paste over the whole of the sky area, and when it was dry, stencilled the raindrops again. They're highlighted a little with some Craft-T luster rub-ons. I put a sunray gel print behind this, and edged them both with Stickles. The sentiment was cut with some label die, sponged lightly and tucked underneath.

Oh wow, this is a fabulous creation! I wish I could see the dimension and shimmer IRL! I love this image and adding the sun rays behind the rainy scene panel is inspired; such a special card for Julie.

I love Rubber Romance images and this looks so fabulous with your layers and wonderful coloring, Sabrina. She stands out in that nasty weather and I can see brighter days peaking out all around. Fab card - love it! Hugz

I had my long comment on this and then I lost it...so I'll just say it's an instant fav....amazing framing...love the sunray part with those colors, the pink UB, and the stickles on both panels. Very artistic.

This is so creative Sabrina and with the added sun rays in the background this card has the feeling of hope that is always so nice. I would love this pink handbag and matching parasol along with this beautiful rain coat too - how fun! Julie and Dave will really appreciate this masterpiece you have made for them. ~Karen.

This is sweet. Your gel print just makes such a good background to your pretty image, and that is the secret to the shine to your umbrella is the embossing. Neat card, Sabrina
