The Green Bay Packers are celebrating their 100th anniversary this year. I bleed green and gold and last year, they stabbed me through the heart. But wait until this year...I always say that.
Our beloved #15, Bart Starr, died a few months ago and I made this card for him. He is pictured with Vince Lombardi. They were a match made in heaven.
Bart was selected in the 17th round of the 1956 draft. Yes, 17th round. And he's a Hall of Famer. He was quiet, studious and did what Lombardi told him to do. And he certainly excelled because of that.
I used yesterday's sketch, very simply swiped green and gold DOx for the swooshes, matted the printed picture onto two metallic pieces, added some clear rhinestones because of the 100th anniversary (supposed to be a 10 carat diamond!) and printed up a sentiment. Yes, I'm green and gold 'til I'm dead and cold too.
Edit: forgot to mention that the water splatters on the background are my tears....no, they're not, just a joke. A poor one.

Bart Starr was a truly gifted athlete, and the pic of him with Coach is fab! Great job!

What a superior use of that sketch, mf! It evens looks like an upside down swoosh of that Greek Goddess The $35 Nike Logo and the Woman Who Designed It. Your gold mat and the repeating colors work well. And the nostalgia of the b &w photo! Now back to that 10 carat ring...
Super creative Sporting card.

Awe what a super card for Bart Starr. Well you had me at the sentiment but the tears on the card...I am sure this was very emotional making this card. Thank you so much for playing along.
