Our recipient this week likes to spend time at the lake....I second that! And of course being from Minnesota, Land of 10,000 lakes, I have a few lake stamps ;) I colored this with chalks (can't remember the last time I used those) and colored pencils. Since the scene takes up most of the card front I chose a sketch that had a large front panel. I finished off by using some favorite evergreen brads. I hope Shelley can look at this and escape a bit from her treatments.

Everything about this is fabulous Polly. I love the printed background to showcase your terrific coloured scene. We watched a doco on TV about the lakes in Minnesota. Geoff thought I had severed an artery when I screamed out for him to come and watch. I digress, I love your card to bits.

What an idyllic peaceful scene, Polly. I like the softness of the chalks for colouring. They work well with the vintage look of the text paper behind the image.

I always love seeing a beautiful Northwoods detailed stamp colored up so beautifully! This is so peaceful and serene; sure to bring comfort and a smile.

Polly, what a fabulous card for Shelley! I love the beautiful scene on your card; it is one that I could escape into. Your coloring with chalk and pencil is wonderful. The tree brads are a great addition to the scene. Beautiful work, Polly.
