Our recipient this week likes to spend time at the lake....I second that! And of course being from Minnesota, Land of 10,000 lakes, I have a few lake stamps ;) I colored this with chalks (can't remember the last time I used those) and colored pencils. Since the scene takes up most of the card front I chose a sketch that had a large front panel. I finished off by using some favorite evergreen brads. I hope Shelley can look at this and escape a bit from her treatments.

Sure seems like a nice getaway to me. Love your soft coloring of this peaceful scene. Great choice of sketch and those brads are the perfect finishing touch.

Lakes are my thing too, love them, especially the sandy bottom ones. My sister's lake near Rhinelander has small stones on the bottom so water shoes are necessary. But it's fine, at least it's not sharp boulders. Your lake card makes me want to live on a lake, all by myself. i think the chalks were a perfect choice, so calm. I wonder how many lakes WI has.

This will take Shelly's mind to a more peaceful place. Beautiful card and I'll make that a third for liking to spend time at the lake. We are moving to our house there finally!
