I'm so out of it; I didn't know what Chucks were, although I've heard the name. My kids both wore Converse when they were younger and I think Joe still has a pair (he's 34). Black of course. I can remember pro basketball players wearing them. Times have changed.
I chose this for inspiration: https://www.converse.com/shop/p/cust...12C&cgid=girls
The style is called 'splattered' so I did just that with red, pink and blue. The blue is metallic. Glittered the 'not quite Chucks' with red and added some star gems for the buckles and a few randome ones. It seemed a natural thing to do shoes; I tend to be rather literal.
I love the blues. I'm heading to a music festival in Milwaukee this afternoon and hope to hear some. My son is playing on a stage later. It's going to be a hot one!

When I spotted these shoes, I thought of ruby red slippers. Such a cute card!!! Wonderful background. Enjoy the festival...and your son.

What a great inspired card design! love that splatter, your wonderful shiny red shoes and fun sentiment! I was surprised also about how many Converse sneakers there are!

Wow! You truly were inspired by your inspiration "chucks" and you ran with it. I love these fun glittery "Dorthy" shoes complete with sparkly buckles. I also love all the splatters you created giving this card a wonderful confetti feel that is so fun! To be frank, I have never heard the term "chucks" before and I had no idea what they were either until today. Ha! ~Karen.

the real name of the ones I have are chuck taylors but, I have always called them chucks and funny true story, I do not have any black ones at the moment but, I am on my second pair of charcoal grey ones. Love what you did here with the sentiment and the bling the shoes have too.
