I needed to make a graduation card for a girl who graduated from Sacred Heart University with a degree in Athletic Training. Sheâs going now to Florida to work and get her Masters. This PTI stamp set had the perfect images for her. But I couldnât figure out how to use them. MariLynnâs challenge convinced me to go artsy. I used the colors of Sacred Heart University to inspire my gelli plate background. I chalked up the sunburst stencil and hearts on the gelli plate and covered with some white mixed with brown, because I didnât want to make pink when white paint mixed with red chalk. I made two prints. The larger panel is actually the second one which came out stronger than the second (which I used to stamp the âGo Placesâ). The PTI stamp set has some kind of sketchy scribbles and splatters which I stamped over the main panel with DOX Aged Mahogany. The card needed one last thing, so instead of gluing down the âGo Placesâ straight on the card, I tilted it and used an arrow paper clip to add some interest.

Your mixed media bg made a super modern look for this card and the stamped images are so personally appropriate for your graduate. Love the arrow paper clip - it adds a nice bit of shine & texture!
