This card was made for our local wine bar owner whose birthday is today, and it's his last week at the bar since he has sold it and is moving to Florida. We will really miss him!!!
The main panel of the card is Stampin' Up! (SU) Whisper White onto which I stamped in black the main sentiment from the beautiful SU "Half Full" set. It was a little tricky since the stamp is actually framed by a double-line tag shape, and the grape cluster is tucked up next to the word "improve". So I used my SU Stamparatus positioner and inked the entire stamp with Versafine Black Onyx ink, then used baby wipes to carefully removed the ink from both the tag outline and the grape cluster. I then huffed on the inked sentiment to make sure it was still wet enough to leave a good impression, then stamped it. Luckily, I got a good solid impression, and didn't have to stamp a second time.
The bottle, glass and grapes were stamped on scrap white paper using the same ink. After making sure the ink was very dry, I used Copics markers to color the wine bottle a Moss green color, and both the cork and wine in the glass Cadmium Red. The grape leaves were colored with Pistachio and Moss. The grapes themselves were colored Currant in all but the highlight areas, then those areas were filled in with the Cadmium Red.
After the three figures were all colored, I used my Brother ScanNCut2 (CM350) to cut all three out with an outside margin of 0.02". The bottle and grapes were mounted with adhesive foam tape, and the wine glass was mounted with a double layer of Mini Glue Dots to raise it up, but not as high as the bottle.
The glass of the wine bottle, wine in the glass, and individual grapes where all covered with Wink of Stella to give them a glistening appearance.
The main panel was matted with a thin black layer, then then matted once again with SU Real Red cardstock using Tombow liquid glue.. This was then mounted on the black card base using adhesive foam strips.
I am rating the difficulty level for this card as a "3" because of the need to carefully stamp the sentiment, and to cut out the wine elements adhered to the card.
